Al-Qalam is located on the first floor of a listed building that dates back to the 18th century. The building conveys a historic significance and is C rated for being a unique property by the National Organisation for Urban Harmony.

It directly overlooks the Sultan Hassan and Al-Rifai Mosques and behind the house of Egyptian Architecture (Hassan Fathi House), at 10 Darb Al-Labanah; just a few steps away from the Citadel Square (Salah El-Din).

Space is defined by a spacious hall that branches into smaller three spaces: a multi-purpose hall that contains a book shelf for studying, meetings and such. A seminar for hosting lectures and workshops and another space dedicated to display artworks and gifts. The place offers other amenities such as a co-working space, a balcony, a kitchen and a common toilet. Additionally, upon prior agreements, we grant access to the rooftop that overlooks  the mesmerizing view of Islamic Cairo.
